About me

Having been a licensed therapist for over 12 years, I have helped many different types of clients navigate issues such as anxiety, depression, adjusting to a new career or family dynamic, trauma, grief and loss, and issues with their family. I applaud you for seeking guidance and I look forward to helping you. I am several different ethnicities and have worked with many different populations including couples; families; teenagers (sometimes in conjunction with schools to help students change their dynamics at school and garner the help of administrators and teachers, as I am a former teacher); children, elderly clients; clients who have been discriminated against; clients who have been bullied, and clients who are navigating career changes as well as medical issues.

I met with Bette once for an introductory meeting. I thought that Bette was very kind and relaxed. She had a very hands on approach in which she had us set specific goals and create a to do list for my next meeting. I decided to seek a new counselor because during our meeting I felt her analytical approach versus empathic approach wasn’t my style but I can definitely see it working for others who have clear set goals

I've used the techniques that I am being taught by my therapist and they seem to all be working to better my day. My therapist really listens to me and lets me talk and gives me good advice. My therapist isn't just telling me things she makes me feel good about the things she says.

Bette seems great for anyone that just needs to be told things are going to be ok. I feel like a lot she’s great for people that just want to “fit in” with their environment, but not for the kinds of people who have spent a lot of time figuring out and delving deep into their issues.
