My ideal clients are those who recognize that we all need help and understand that asking for support is a reflection, not of any weakness, but of their own self-regard and strength. I started off as a nurse and decided to return to school and get a masters in counseling psychology. I spent more than 25 years in addiction, including the years I spent as a nurse (11 years). I also have been a clinical supervisor and director of substance abuse programs, which made me realize I love working with clients individually and went into private practice. I have been in practice for 7 years, although I'm just returning to this level of care January 2023 I have worked all those years with clients suffering from trauma, anxiety and relationship issues.
