My treatment methods

Couples Counseling

Couples counseling consist of focusing on improving relationship satisfaction and conflict resolution between couples. The ultimate goal is to build a healthy relationship and solve any possible issues.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I have several years working with clients dealing with trauma. This treatment method helps to process trumatic experiences. There are several ways that the experiences can be processed during the sessions, including visualization, talking or thinking about the truamatic memory. Also the focus can be on changing the unhelpful belief about the trauma that occurred.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

(CBT) is one of the foundational approaches used during the session. With over 25 years of clinical experience, seen first hand how powerful CBT can be in helping clients recognize and shift the negative thought patterns that fuel anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and self-defeating behaviors.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

SFBT is used to help clients focus on their existing resources, past successes, and future goals rather than solely on presenting problems. Clinician guides clients to clarify what “better” looks like and collaboratively identifies small, realistic steps to move in that direction. This approach is particularly effective with clients seeking short-term, impactful strategies—such as professionals facing burnout, parents navigating complex dynamics, or individuals adjusting to life transitions.

Dr. Wilson is very discerning. She doesn't interrupt me when I express myself and really listens and provides strategies to help with my healing process. Dr. Wilson is very easy to speak with and I am very comfortable expressing myself without any judgment from her. I've been in therapy for many years an never experienced a therapist like Dr. Wilson. I am happy I found her.
