(she/her)
Hello, I am Keisha Lord the founder of Magnolia Family Therapy and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 14 years of experience treating children, adults and families overcome life’s challenges. My passion is to work with individuals to help overcome emotional, behavioral, and relational difficulties. I am known for my gentle spirit, calm demeanor, and listening ear. My approach to therapy is client centered, meeting you where you are with empathy, compassion and respect, to help you identify your strengths, so the process is as helpful and meaningful as possible. Life isn’t always easy. Sometimes, even the strongest people need help to work through some of life’s challenges. Everyone has battles to fight and hurdles to overcome at some point. Whether you struggle with anxiety, depression, emotional/physical abuse, self-esteem, parenting, divorce/separation or any other issue, there is hope to heal, potential to grow, and the opportunity to thrive! I look forward to helping you through your healing process.
In your first session, we’ll talk through what’s bringing you in, explore your background, and begin identifying goals for therapy. I’ll also share how I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other approaches to support your progress. You’ll leave with greater clarity and a sense of direction—no pressure to have it all figured out.
My greatest strengths are my gentle spirit, calm demeanor, and listening ear. I have a passion for working with individuals who experience emotional abuse and narcissistic abuse (which often can be difficult to identify). We will work together to rebuild you confidence and self-esteem so that you can set boundaries and begin your journey to healing.
I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, grief, and relationship challenges. My clients are often high-functioning but feel stuck in unhelpful patterns and want practical tools for change. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and evidence-based approaches, I help clients build insight, confidence, and lasting progress. My approach is especially effective for those who are ready to confront what’s been keeping them stuck and are willing to engage in the process of change—with support, clarity, and compassion along the way.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and change unhelpful thought and behavior patterns that contribute to anxiety, depression, and relational challenges. My approach is practical, collaborative, and tailored—equipping clients with real-life tools for lasting change.
