Hello, I'm Ivannia. Are you ready to continue your healing journey towards recovery? I specialize in eating disorders, trauma, depression, and anxiety. Treatment and therapeutic approach is very unique to all individuals. What works for one person may not work for the other and that's ok! I will guide you and help you recognize what type of treatment works for you. I believe in building trust and rapport, while challenging you towards growth. I believe healing is a journey and I would love to be a part of it.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I like to do a consultation first to make sure we are a good fit. This will take approximately 15 minutes, and it also gives you an opportunity to see if I am a good fir for you. In our first session together, we will do brief introductions, I will ask you lots of questions, then we will discuss treatment goals. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Eating disorders and trauma informed care. I am also a certified domestic violence advocate. I am very passionate about living a life beyond just surviving. I want you to thrive and healing or shifting perspective is essential in this journey. You have everything you need within you, I am just proving guidance.

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I have over 5 years of experience using DBT intervention, I believe is very effective to identify and explore hidden/suppress emotions, while gaining ability to communciate needs effectively. DBT can offer variety of tools to help you self regulate without judgement.

Trauma Informed Care

My approach starts with trauma informed care, as an empathetic therapist I recognize the importance of addressing trauma and meeting you (the client) where you're at. Sometimes you may need help recognizing how trauma has impacted your life.

Trauma-Focused CBT

Cognitive Behavioral therapy is a staple for all therapist! It is important to highlight how your thoughts can affect your emotions. If you are a survivor of trauma, it is important to have skills to ground while allowing you the space to share your story.

Eclectic

Every client is different and needs a different approach. As we build trust and rapport, an eclectic approach is necessary to customize treatment for your needs.
