Hello, my name is Dr. Cortnie S. Baity, LMFT and I am the owner of Onward and Upward Psychotherapy & Consulting Services, LLC., now serving all Florida and Georgia, and soon New York residents. I understand that throughout our life’s journey we all will face difficult moments and/or seasons. In order to grow through these times, we must embrace the human species’ primal need for survival: meaningful social engagement. As a psychotherapist, I believe that a safe space for vulnerability, transparency, effective communication, and support are vital for growth and overcoming life’s day to day challenges. I also believe through the gain of guidance, clarity, empowerment, and commitment to change-oriented behaviors, clients can begin to experience the healing they deserve. I pride myself in providing a safe, non-judgmental space for you to share your story without submissions and receive practical guidance on how to keep moving forward. Kindess, compassion, and genuine desire to hear your story. Additionally, you can expect to leave our session feeling validated and inspired to keep taking steps forward to a better tomorrow. Please note that the first session is a time for you to say what has been plaguing your heart and mind and more of a time for me to listen.

My greatest strengths as a provider includes my own unique experiences and identity, that makes me more relatable and compassionate toward presented issues.

I am best positioned to serve those who a typically labeled "the strong friend", those who feel like an "alien" in broader society, and those who feel overlooked and demoralized about the world we live in today.
