Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in the heart of VA. I earned my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University in 2020 and have been practicing for the past five years. I have a passion for helping individuals overcome and manage depression, anxiety, self-esteem, and phase-of-life issues to develop a positive self-image by rebuilding self-esteem and developing practical techniques and skills.
Our initial session is about getting to know you—your story, goals, and what has brought you to this point. We’ll discuss what you hope to achieve in therapy and explore any concerns or questions you may have. As you prepare for your first session, I want to share what to expect when we meet. The first session with me is called an intake, and I will ask you many purposeful questions. If you are not fully paying for sessions out of pocket and plan to use your insurance, it would be a good idea to call your insurance company before your scheduled intake session to confirm coverage and determine your co-pay amount, if any. To best ensure a hassle-free beginning to your therapeutic journey, review that your credit card on file is up to date and that any additional paperwork required to begin therapy in your client portal is fully completed in every area, signed, dated, etc. This will ensure that your first session is smooth, worry-free, and genuinely focused on the most crucial aspect of your session: you!
I pride myself on being a regular person and relate to my clients authentically. I am dedicated to ethical practice and respect the individual wants and needs of my clients. Building a positive therapeutic relationship is the most important aspect to successful therapy and, if I am not the right fit for a client, I want to work with them to find the best therapist to help meet their goals. Ultimately, our time together is not about me; it's about YOU!
I love working with motivated individuals who desire change in their lives. My clients seek improvement by implementing techniques and coping skills in everyday life. They desire accountability when challenges occur to improve their quality of life. .
