Hi, I'm Sylvia, an LCSW/Licensed Clinical Social Worker who both practices and lives in Florida. Do you find yourself feeling overwhelmed by the stresses of daily life? Too many decisions to make, too many things happening at once? Have your health, self esteem, or relationships changed or taken a hit? I see all adults, but in particular I focus on folks that are dealing with life changes such as struggling with a new or changing diagnosis, reclaiming your identity, grief, or depression and anxiety. I want you to know that the time we spend together is for YOU, so it will be focused on what you want to talk about. Therapy can be hard work but I'd like to make it easier on you. Let's work together!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, this is where we'll start with brief introductions and building rapport. We will dive into any challenges you're facing at a pace you are comfortable with. What I hope you gain from our time together is the knowledge that you are not broken.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My openness and flexibility is what I view as my greatest strength as a provider. Much of my experience has been in hospitals and hospice care. I'm quite comfortable "hitting the ground running" so to speak.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with adults trying to find themselves again. Ultimately my role in this is to help you recognize your strengths and identify new coping skills that are healthier and fit your life better.

Integrative

Basically this means that I acknowledge none of us is exactly alike we also don't want exactly the same things in therapy. Beine a person-centered therapist, I encourage you to be vocal about what exactly it is you are wanting to get out of therapy.
