I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is currently working on my doctorate in psychology. I have a passion for post traumatic growth and believe that we can all overcome and grow form our experiences. We can all benefit from working on ourselves. In my time off, I enjoy spending time with my husband, 3 cats, and a dog.
Our first session will focus on discovering more about what brings you to therapy and getting to know you. Do not expect that I will ask you to go into detail yet about topics that might disturb you; rather, I am more likely to ask for headlines. Time permitting, and if clinically relevant, I might want to get you set up with a coping skill to use until our next session.
I am very person-centered, which means that I provide unconditional positive regard. I also have a great sense of humor. I am constantly seeking out new knowledge and training in order to improve and perfect my skills as a therapist and bring more to the therapeutic relationship. I have a passion for what I do.
I have a lot of experience working with people from all walks of life. I have special knowledge about the military, first responders, and veterans. I love helping people to overcome struggles they are experiencing in order to live more effectively and with more joy.
