Welcome to Grow! My name is Jake and I am a licensed independent social worker. First and foremost, I want to commend you for taking the first step in exploring bettering your mental health. The first step is often the hardest, but I assure you it will be worth it! My goal is to create an environment you feel safe and supported in, in order to explore everything that is going on in your life and what you would like to see change. From there, we will partner to create a plan that we will work together and regularly assess our progress.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will get to know one another while we explore what you are coming to therapy for and get an understanding of your past experiences. This will inform our treatment plan, which we will use as a playbook for our time together, consistently checking in on progress to make sure we are on the right path.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Between my lived and professional experience, I am able to empathize with many clients and their experiences. I excel at the ability to build a partnership with my clients which results in them manifesting the change they sought out when entering therapy. In addition, I believe in focusing on the data and the progress to ensure we remain on the right path throughout our time.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have been using CBT in my practice since I began practicing. We will use CBT to explore the thoughts you have which lead to feelings which impact behavior and how we can intervene within the cycle.

Strength-Based

Focusing on strengths will allow us to utilize the things you are already good at or like about yourself to help us work on the issues you are working on.
