What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
We are all always nervous about new things specially talking to a stranger about your most vulnerable things. As your therapist during our first session I help you feel comfortable sharing your unique story. I normalize and valid your feelings. In the end I praise you for your first step to a better you and develop a plan that is best for you.
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
Therapy along with treatment models Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) can help you find more meaning in your relationships, become more productive with your work, create a space for self-care, and find enjoyment in your life with those you love. I like CBT because it emphasizes what is going on in your current life, rather than what has led up to your difficulties. TF-CBT because it’s short-term and generally lasts no more than 16 sessions and CPP because it helps support and strengthen the relations between a child and his or her caregiver.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
My client-based and empathetic approach helps support your way of making sense of present and past struggles, trauma, and unhealed wounds. I have experience helping clients with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, ADHD, Anger Management, Loss and Grief, Self-Esteem, Relational Difficulties, Family Conflict, and Parenting Challenges.
