Hi, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and licensed attorney based in California. I have a Bachelors in Sociology and Masters in Social Work from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. I have over 25 years of experience working with individuals, couples, families, and children in the social service field. Helping others to find or rediscover their purpose and passion has been my life's work.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will start with a brief introduction before delving into the specific challenges you are facing. This will help me to develop a plan tailored to your needs for follow-up sessions. We will work together to determine goals and a path forward. Each session will build upon the previous one with the purpose of helping you to meet and accomplish your therapy goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with individuals, children, families, and couples in the social service field for over 20 years, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to a) help you identify the root of the challenge, and b) create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

"What we think we become." I utilize a collaborative, supportive approach to teach CBT tools for thinking differently about situations in order to improve happiness. CBT can be used to treat anxiety, depression, work issues, marital issues, and problems in relationships.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Improvement is always a possibility. Short-term solution focused therapy can help those seeking a solution to life challenges. Whether it is struggling from the effects of trauma, working to enrich or save a marriage, navigating the divorce process, dealing with depression and/or anxiety, learning new social skills, or simply trying to be better parents.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

A healthy mind creates a healthy life, relationship, marriage, friendship, career, and most of all a healthy family. Mindfulness can help to improve clarity and focus. Life challenges will inevitably come. Mindfulness helps us to meet life challenges with the grace, wisdom, and strength of a healed inner voice. My mindfulness mantra is to "Still the mind and move the body."

Christian Counseling

A decision to pursue counseling may be a difficult one for a person of faith. Many times, a person of deep faith judges themselves or feels judge by others for choosing to pursue the help of a therapist. I believe every person deserves to be treated with respect, empathy, and compassion. This includes respect for a person’s spirituality, spiritual beliefs, and spiritual supports. I believe in providing grace and a non-judgmental environment where you may explore life challenges freely.
