Hi and welcome to my page at Grow Therapy! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC - S) based in Texas. I received my Masters of Science in Counseling from Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi in 2012 and have been practicing counseling for 8 years. I help individuals ranging in age from 8 - 65+ who are struggling with symptoms of depression, anxiety, or just day to day difficulties.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths as a therapist are my ability to listen for understanding and with empathy. Many clients feel that they are not heard anywhere in their life, and therapy shouldn't be another place for that feeling. Sessions are about my client and where you want to go in our work together. I care deeply for the wellbeing of each of my clients.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with individuals who are at the place of recognizing that something in their life needs to change. Sometimes they may not know exactly what in their life is holding them back, but they are ready to journey alongside me to discover the areas of their life they want to modify for the better.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Our thoughts and feelings sometimes work against us to influence our behaviors in ways that don't serve our ideal self. Together with my clients I work to explore how we can work with thoughts and feelings to bring about the actions that better reflect who you want to be.

Motivational Interviewing

Humans are naturally inclined to make positive changes, but sometimes we need help sorting through all of the day to day things that make it difficult to grasp that change. I utilize MI to help my clients begin to see the changes they want to make and paths forward to getting there.
