Hello, I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and an approved telehealth provider based in Arizona. My degrees include a MSN and MEd. My treatment style is based on mutual optimism, curiosity, teamwork, and self-motivation. I offer: Patient-Provider collaboration, understanding with honesty, hope, and patience. Philosophy: solutions take time, and healing is a lifelong endeavor. I provide: open mindedness, affirmation, humor, and prompt responses.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Meet with a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), specializing in medication management in an outpatient, non-crisis setting. During a 60 minute initial consultation, the provider will perform a full evaluation of needs and formulate a customized treatment plan, which may include medications, therapy, genetic testing, labs, and nutritional or herbal recommendations. Most medications can be prescribed during that initial consultation and sent to the requested pharmacy for pick up within 24 hours. Follow-up visits are scheduled 2-4 weeks after the initial consultation to discuss the medication's efficacy as well as any side-effects. If medication is not wanted or not medically appropriate, clients may engage in individual Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. The practice offers telemedicine appointments through a free, HIPAA compliant app, available on smart phones and computers.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I provided my clients with open minded, affirming, and humorous care.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Psychological problems are based, in part, on faulty or unhelpful ways of thinking, and on learned patterns of unhelpful behavior. People suffering from psychological problems can learn better ways of coping with them, thereby relieving their symptoms and becoming more effective in their lives.

Motivational Interviewing

A guiding style of communication, that sits between good listening and giving information and advice. It is designed to empower people to change by drawing out their own meaning, importance and capacity for change. Based on a respectful and curious way of being with people that facilitates the natural process of change and honors client autonomy.
