My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a form of psychological treatment that has been demonstrated to be effective for a range of problems including depression, anxiety disorders, alcohol and drug use problems, marital problems, eating disorders, and severe mental illness. CBT focuses on readjusting the patterns of thinking or behavior that led to the client’s difficulties. Therapist does this by exploring the patient’s thoughts, images, beliefs, attitudes, and relationships. Once you have identified the relationship between your problems, behavior, and thoughts, you can begin to learn healthy ways to cope and manage your thoughts and emotions

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational interviewing (MI) is a counseling method that helps clients resolve ambivalent feelings and insecurities to find the internal motivation they need to change their behavior. It is a practical, empathetic, and short-term process that takes into consideration how difficult it is to make life changes.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and Trauma-Focus Cognitive Behavioral Therapist in the state of Florida, with more than 14 years experience helping clients overcome trauma-related symptoms and experiences that may have happened in the past but are still affecting their present.

Couples Counseling

I focused on improving the relationship between individuals by helping them resolve interpersonal issues and modify maladaptive patterns of interactions, thereby fostering the healthy psychosocial growth of all parties.
