Welcome! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and have been working with adolescents and adults for the past 7 years. I’m so glad you have taken this step towards healing, and I’m here to help with that. Let’s talk about it and work through it! I use clinical strategies, my own experiences, and a bit of humor and faith to support your growth and healing.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

If you’ve made it to your first session, you’ve already reached a huge milestone! In that session, we’ll talk about what you want to get out of treatment. I’ll give you feedback on how we can work together to achieve those goals. I want you to feel comfortable to share whatever you would like to share with the confidence that it is a safe place to do so. By the end of the session, you’ll have a good indication of whether or not we are a good fit!

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have been told by current and past clients that I am genuine and empathetic. I do not judge, as there is no room for judgement in therapeutic healing. I have what I consider to be a good sense of humor that often helps clients to feel at ease in session.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I enjoy working with clients who want to experience growth and healing. If you’re here, then I’m here FOR you! Sometimes, we can feel that our problems are too insignificant for therapy, or even that they are TOO big or TOO much. Both of those thought processes can keep us from reaching out to get the help and support we need. I’m here to walk with you through whatever you’re going through.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Our thoughts can be our best ally or our greatest enemy. They are the catalyst for the feelings and behaviors that follow. I use CBT to first help clients identify cognitive distortions that are keeping them stuck, then develop strategies and skills for transforming those thoughts into ones that foster resilience, growth, and healing.

Motivational Interviewing

Change is difficult, even when we feel it is necessary. I use motivational interviewing to help clients identify and work through barriers to the change they desire.

Christian Counseling

My faith is an important aspect of my own life that has allowed me to work through challenges and difficult times. If you are interested in applying Christian values and principles to your healing, I am happy to incorporate that into your treatment.
