Hello. My name is Taylor, and I am glad you made it to this page. I understand it is an important choice to make when deciding who will help you through life’s hills, valleys, and plains. I also know it is not easy trying to find the “right” therapist/psychiatrist because I have been in your shoes. Facing uncertainty, looking for change, and finding hope are involved in searching for adequate support. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, it is my mission to weave hope into the fabric of lives burdened by crippling anxiety, low moods, frustrating life situations, and relationships on the brink of giving out. You can call me your companion on the journey to reclaim joy. My story is one of transformation, much like those with whom I work. There was a time when anxiety gripped me, chaining me to a life of perpetual worry and fear. It was a storm that threatened to drown me. However, with the support of empathetic souls and the right interventions, I found a way to navigate through the tempest. Armed with a Master’s in Nursing (MSN) and certified as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), my purpose crystallized. I wasn’t just going to treat symptoms; I was going to help people rediscover the colors that anxiety had muted and brighten the light the storm engulfed. My practice is not merely a profession; it’s a sanctuary where healing begins. I believe in the power of connection in creating a safe space where you can unravel the threads of your story without fear of judgment. I blend clinical expertise with compassionate understanding to craft personalized solutions.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our work focuses on positive change. When entering my office, virtual or in person, my clients are instantly at ease, knowing they are in good hands. They can speak openly about current concerns and past experiences. Clients feel confident in my expertise in providing the needed support. Coming into a session, you’ll be able to speak your mind. I will ask some questions to get to know you and help me guide your sessions to meet your needs. You’ll get a chance to explore those pressing concerns you always had about why you feel the way you do. Through your therapeutic journey, you’ll find a way to manage worries, decrease anxiety, increase happiness, and experience peace. Therapy gives you the tools to become a person who can withstand the pressures that get you overwhelmed from time to time. You learn how to find ways to create resilience, whether it is through therapy, medication, or both. You experience the change that you have been looking for.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My goal is to help improve your life. This person you have decided to work with is determined to be that guide you always wanted. I became a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to help improve the lives of others and reach their desired goals. Therefore, my top priority is to give my clients the individualized care needed. While working with adolescents and adults, I utilize various therapies and medications to treat anxiety and depression. I look forward to working with you to create the life you have envisioned for yourself.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Finally, you will get some answers. Feel free to sit, settle into that spot, and take a deep breath. Take a few seconds to look around. Yes, you are where you need to be. You took a big step to get where you are today. Today, you are going to get your questions answered. Coming here will finally allow you to give a name what you have been feeling all this time. What happens during a Psychiatric Evaluation? This evaluation allows you to tell your story – and be unapologetically you. It’s time to feel heard and experience discovery. During the time we spend together, you’ll be able to gain an understanding of the whys and what-ifs. The first time we meet, there will be questions such as, “What is it you want from our time together?” “What changes do you hope to accomplish?” As you progress further and gain deeper insight into yourself, those goals you mentioned will be within reach. What do I do with a diagnosis? Having a diagnosis is not a label. It isn’t who you are. It is simply a name for what you are dealing with. A diagnosis can give you clarity but by no means defines you. It can help guide the treatment and give you the support you need. What will treatment look like? You will enter a safe space dedicated to you and your needs. No two treatments are the same. Each session focuses on your needs. If you are working toward specific goals, we can form your sessions in the best way possible to reach them. Perhaps you are looking for support and need to process the future, past, or present. If so, we can do that, too. If you need to figure out how to incorporate a holistic approach to reach your mental health goals, then we will shape the time you spend in that way. This treatment caters specifically to you. Knowledge is POWER. Now you know. After all these years, you have the answers you have sought. There is a feeling of peace that comes with having your feelings validated. A true sense of power comes with not being ruled by emotions but experiencing them and still being able to do and make wise decisions despite them. This time is for you, and I am here to work with you step-by-step. Please contact me for more information on how I can help.
