Welcome, my name is Alysann, I am glad you are here. Are you looking for extra support to help you manage day-to-day stressors? I know reaching out for help can be overwhelming, but you have already accomplished the first step in this process by searching for a therapist. My specialties involve identifying and reframing negative thinking behaviors, as well as, identifying and managing emotions. While using evidence-based techniques, I use a strengths-based approach that will build on your personal strengths to empower you to overcome the burden that mental health symptoms can cause. I will provide you with the tools and resources to strengthen your overall health and well-being. Together we can identify your goals, and what you would like to accomplish in therapy. My therapy style is collaborative and supportive. I will never use a “one-size-fits-all” approach in therapy. I tailor my therapy modalities to fit what will be most effective in aiding you to meet your goals. Although reaching out for therapy can be difficult, it is rewarding in healing and growing as a person.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will be getting to know each other, so I can have a clear understanding of your goals. Therapy sessions will be a safe, non-judgmental space where you can share as much or as little as you would like. Sometimes it can take a while to open up to someone new. In my sessions, I will be an active listener to ensure understanding. I will also be using my years of experience and knowledge of therapy modalities to aid in teaching you in skills that you can apply to your own life. My goal is to ensure understanding and make goals realistic, so I can set you up for success.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I use various tools and therapy modalities based on your specific needs. The therapy modalities I use most frequently are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Exposure Response and Prevention, Motivational Interviewing, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I also use various tools to assist with managing symptoms. My approach is holistic, so I will focus on your mind, body, and spirit. Additional skills I can teach include stress management, coping skills, self-compassion/positive self-talk, sleep hygiene, self-care, time management, self-esteem/confidence, setting boundaries, communication, and more.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I specialize in treating OCD, Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, Addiction, Insomnia, Chronic Pain/Illness, and Eating Disorders. Anyone can seek therapy and benefit from having additional tools and resources to help navigate life transitions or stressors. I am a LGBTQIA+ ally. I have knowledge in various religions. I am passionate about helping others by helping them achieve their best quality of life.
