As your therapist, the first session is a structured and client-focused approach to gain a comprehensive understanding of your background, concerns, and challenges. The first session introduces the tone of intentional questions and guiding clients that allows for the creation of a roadmap that informs subsequent sessions. Proactively gathering necessary information about what brings you to therapy and even your family dynamics, I create a solid foundation for exploration and intervention. While also giving you the space to share your experiences, insights, and goals. In not only the first session, but first few sessions and throughout the therapeutic process, I focus on creating a sense of rapport, trust, and shared agency between you and myself, enhancing the efficacy and meaningfulness of the therapeutic journey.

My greatest strength as your provider is understanding that you are the expert on your life, my purpose is to help you to zoom out and be able to get a full comprehensive picture of your life, who you are, and what has brought you to therapy. If you don't feel like the expert of your life, I am here to empower you back into that position through the therapeutic journey. I focus on reducing your anxieties about therapy or jumping in with you to conquer the therapeutic goals you've set for yourself. My purpose as your therapist is to be your therapist. You have come to me for support and I am here for you. I welcome an open space of communication where you can share what you need and being able to help you create the therapeutic space, structure, and comfort that fits your unique journey. This can't be my journey, it has to be yours.
