Hello! There are times in life where we may find ourselves struggling with current stressors or are experiencing challenges coping with wounds from the past. While seemingly functioning in the day-to-day routines of work, school, home, and within relationships, it becomes increasingly difficult or sometimes even impossible to manage. For many of us, strength is often perceived as “holding it together” while we are painfully bottling up the emotions that we were actually designed to experience naturally. We can become trapped in the pain of our past (or present) and silently suffer. As an experienced licensed mental health counselor specializing in trauma, anxiety, grief, and addiction, together we can work to achieve healing, restoration and balance. Therapy will afford us an opportunity to identify healthy coping skills to promote a life of hope, healing, and meaning.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In my therapy sessions, I constantly strive to create and maintain professional relationships that are warm and trusting through an atmosphere of compassion, empathy and authenticity. I aim for collaboration to uncover the unhealthy cycles that present as a barrier for achieving balance.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I largely utilize a Cognitive Behavioral and Solution Focused approach, as well as Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy while supporting clients in addressing their unique challenges. Through the examination of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, we will collectively identify healthy coping mechanisms to promote a meaningful, productive life. This approach encourages each client to (re)discover, own, and build on strengths that will serve to break the cycles that have been rooted in pain. Feeling understood, which is one of my primary objectives in therapy, will certainly facilitate this process.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Specializing in anxiety and trauma, I help women identify sustainable tools to increase functioning while promoting healing. You will adopt healthier ways of managing your life.
