I am a licensed marriage and family therapist with a doctorate degree in clinical psychology. I have been practicing for over 25 years. I take an eclectic approach to therapy, utilizing techniques and interventions from frameworks including cognitive behavioral therapy, emotionally focused therapy and solution focused therapy. I see adult clients over the age of 18 for weekly individual sessions.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our initial therapy session, we'll focus on getting to know each other and understanding your reasons for seeking therapy. You'll have the opportunity to share your concerns, goals, and any relevant background information. We'll discuss what you hope to achieve from therapy and begin to outline a plan for our work together, ensuring that you feel comfortable and supported every step of the way.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a therapist, I am deeply committed to creating a safe and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment. With a compassionate and empathetic approach, I strive to understand your unique perspective and support you in navigating life's challenges. Together, we will work collaboratively to identify your goals, develop coping strategies, and cultivate a deeper understanding of yourself to promote healing and growth.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) because it's a highly effective approach for helping clients make tangible progress in managing their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. CBT is rooted in evidence-based techniques that have been shown to alleviate symptoms of anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns. By working together, we can identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, develop practical coping strategies, and ultimately empower you to take control of your mental well-being. With CBT, our focus is on the present moment and equipping you with the skills you need to navigate life's challenges more effectively, leading to lasting positive changes.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) because it's a highly effective approach for fostering deeper emotional connections and resolving relational conflicts. EFT focuses on understanding and reshaping the emotional responses that drive our interactions with others, particularly within intimate relationships. By exploring underlying emotions and attachment needs, EFT helps individuals create more secure bonds and develop healthier patterns of interaction. Through our work together with EFT, we can cultivate greater understanding, intimacy, and resilience in your relationships, leading to lasting positive change and emotional fulfillment.
