Are you someone who appears strong and capable on the outside, yet feels chronically overwhelmed, exhausted, or deeply disconnected inside? Perhaps anxiety, burnout, grief, relationship challenges, or a major life transition has brought you here. I am a licensed clinical psychologist in California with over 25 years of experience helping adults move through life's challenges with greater clarity, strength, and self-trust.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and determine whether we feel like a good fit. Finding th e right therapist matters, and I encourage you to keep looking until you find someone who feels right for you. During our first meeting, I will want to understand what brings you to therapy, your current challenges, and what you hope to gain from our work together. You are also welcome to ask any questions about my approach so you can make an informed decision. My style is warm, direct and engaged. I strive to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and supported, while also helping you identify patterns that may no longer be serving you. I intentionally work with a limited number of clients at a time. I conduct the bulk of my sessions Monday through Wednesday, with evening availability on all three days, as well as a limited Thursday morning appointments.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I believe therapy works best when clients feel safe, understood, and genuinely seen. My style is warm, engaged, and direct, with a focus of helping clients gain insight, build resilience, and create meaningful change. My work is depth -oriented and rooted in attachment theory, while also integrating practical tools to support growth and emotional regulation. I help clients explore not only immediate concerns, but also deeper patterns that may be influencing thoughts, relationships, and life choices. I work especially well with adults navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, grief, chronic pain, relationship stress, low self-esteem, major life transitions, emotional regulation challenges and questions related to purpose and identity. I also enjoy supporting women navigating caregiving stress, parenting challenges, empty nesting, and attachment related patterns. Nature-based perspectives, mindfulness, guided imagery, sound healing, and nervous system regulation also inform my work, when appropriate. I also appreciate the healing connection many people experience with animals., and the grounding, comfort, and regulation they can bring. Please note: my practice focuses on individual adult therapy. I do not provide couples therapy, psychological evaluations, disability paperwork, or ESA letter assessments. I may not be the best fit for clients seeking intensive trauma-focused treatment or higher levels of care.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with thoughtful adults navigating life transitions, loss, grief, chronic stress, and the search for deeper meaning and purpose. Many of my clients appear strong and capable on the outside, yet feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or disconnected internally. I especially enjoy supporting adults managing the demands of caregiving, parenting, relationship changes, empty nesting, and other major life transitions. I also work well with older adults adjusting to the realities of aging, including chronic illness, pain, loss and changing family roles. Across all ages, my clients are often seeking more than just symptom relief. They are looking for insight, clarity, emotional resilience, and a strong connection to themselves and what matters most.

My treatment methods

Attachment-based

With over 25 years of experience, I use an attachment-based lens to help clients explore past and present relationship patterns and understand how these experiences shape connection, trust and emotional wellbeing.

Existential

My existential approach helps clients explore deeper questions around purpose, meaning, identity, freedom, and change. Together, we examine not only current challenges, but also what it means to live authentically and create a meaningful life, even during uncertainty or transition.

Experiential Therapy

I integrate experiential therapy with nature-based and mindfulness practices to support emotional growth, self-awareness and nervous system regulation.

I haven’t done any psychotherapy in 20 years and I was very apprehensive about starting that process now. I was greatly relieved to find an easy rapport with Dr. Hudson, and her style of therapy resonates really well with me. This opening session has provided me with optimism that I can find and use tools which will help me with depression and grief.
