My name is Katherine. I graduated in 2018 with a Master's in Counseling Psychology from FIU. My specializations stem from personal experiences, fueling my passion to help those facing similar challenges. I understand the overwhelming cycle of worry and fear, the pain of lost relationships, and the journey to reconnect with oneself. With the right support, I believe you can find peace and live a fulfilling life. I believe that self-awareness is our greatest tool for personal growth, and I integrate this into our work. My goal is to equip you with tools to build confidence and lead the life you desire. My approach is personalized and tailored to your needs, using evidence-based methods to explore the connections between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, I will want to get a better idea of what brings you to therapy. I will also ask you some background history questions to get more context on your past and present. I also use the first session to briefly discuss what some of your goals are for therapy. If you're not sure yet, we will come up with something together! Therapy is a collaborative process from the very start.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I genuinely enjoy working with clients on communication with themselves and with others. This is a skill that is beneficial to most, if not all, areas we can cover in therapy.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Through the use of CBT, I assist you in making connections between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and using those connections to better understand yourself and then use that knowledge to make meaningful changes in your life.
