Hi there, my name is Katherine. I have been working in the mental health field since 2015 and graduated from Florida International University with a Master's in Counseling Psychology in 2018. I support my clients in coping with day-to-day stressors while taking steps towards short and long-term goals. I work with individuals who have symptoms related to stress, anxiety, depression, ADHD, as well as dating/relationship, family, and communication issues. I understand that starting therapy can seem like a daunting process. I do my best to ensure my clients have a safe space to be open about their needs. We will work together to set goals based on what you hope to benefit from therapy. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, I will want to get a better idea of what brings you to therapy. I will also ask you some background history questions to get more context on your past and present. I also use the first session to briefly discuss what some of your goals are for therapy. If you're not sure yet, we will come up with something together! Therapy is a collaborative process from the very start.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I genuinely enjoy working with clients on communication with themselves and with others. This is a skill that is beneficial to most, if not all, areas we can cover in therapy.
