Hello! I'm a licensed professional counselor in Pennsylvania. I have experience working with teens, and adults in a variety of environments. I am passionate about helping others who struggle with their self-esteem or feelings or hopelessness. I think we all have value and something to share with the world, it might just take some time and help to figure out what your "piece" to the puzzle looks like!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, I mainly want to hear from you. I want to know what made you decide to seek out therapy, and how I can best serve you as a provider. I want to know what your needs and preferences are, so that I can tailor what I do to match what your expectations are. If there's something specific you need me to understand or accommodate, I want to know!

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I think my greatest strengths as a provider is that I genuinely believe that everyone has inherent value as they are, no matter what you have been through, or done previously. I firmly believe in unconditional positive regard, and I want you to come just as you are!

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I work mainly with late teens, or adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety, or adjusting to big life changes.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I will often use ACT to separate the client from their unhelpful or automatic negative thoughts. The Leaves on a Stream meditation helps to provide a visual for cognitive diffusion, or separating who we are from the thoughts we have.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I think DBT is appropriate not just for individuals with borderline personality disorder, but also folks who feel their emotions get the best of them or feel easily overwhelmed.
