Greetings! Look no further. I'm Elisabeth, a licensed mental health counselor, LMHC here in the sunny Florida. With a decade of experience and a masters from Florida A&M University, I'm dedicated to helping adults overcome everyday stress, burnout, depression, and anxiety. Let's work together to unlock your full potential and thrive! I strive to meet you where are on this journey. Let me be the passenger. Let's work together to recognize are you living or existing.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions. This is improtant to build rapport with my clients. Then dive into the specific challenges you're facing by gathering information of your chief complaints. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. Goal is to aid in living the life you want to live.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having a decade of experience assisting individuals in managing mental health symptoms like anxiety and/or depression. I understand its debilitating effects. My approach is rooted in separating clients from the disorder, offering personalized support and strategies tailored to their unique needs and circumstances. Understanding going to therapy is a scary journey. But I am here to help guide you.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I've been using ACT for the past 3 years. This help many clients in coping with anxiety and depression symptoms. Using this aid in acknowledging and embracing your thoughts and emotions rather than avoiding them. Using acceptance and mindfulness strategies.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I’ve been using CBT in my practice for the past 3 years. It’s helped dozens of clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I've been using person centered therapy as a non directive therapeutic setting. This is centered around the clients. Providing a safe space to speak freely, self actualization, and focus on the positives.

Motivational Interviewing

Using motivational interviewing in sessions has been beneficial to clients wanting to make changes. Enhancing clients motivations to change.
