Do you feel like you have uncontrollable racing thoughts? Are you struggling to get rest or feel rested? Are you avoiding situations, places, or conversations so that you don’t have a sense of panic? Have you been told you're more irritable or “aren’t yourself” recently? Do you think your symptoms are getting in the way of your success or your relationships? I want to help you restore your peace, as you define it. In my practice, I will not only work with you to decrease and, hopefully, resolve your unwanted symptoms, but I will also explain to you why they may be occurring. Many clients have told me they feel less “crazy” after meeting with me & improve their overall outlook on past, current, and future circumstances. Our first session is considered your 'intake' session. Grow will send you forms to complete, including an intake form and two assessments, that we will review at this appointment. Overall, the intake session is me getting to know you, learning how I can help you, then we'll collaborating together in creation of your treatment plan!
Depending on your circumstances, the following evidence-based intervention(s) may be applied: - Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) - Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) - Motivational Interviewing - Mindfulness & Other Coping Skills - Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Acceptance. Throughout my experience, I have provided treatment to several different populations, such as those who have been incarcerated, those who have served in our military, those with different cultural backgrounds from myself, those who have experienced complex trauma, or those who simply cannot explain “why” they feel the way they do. You and your story are unique. I aim to welcome you as you are so that we can work together to help you become who you want to be.
While I have experience treated varying different populations, I have found a niche for college students and young adults.
