Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Pennsylvania. I have been practicing since 2015 but have been in the behavioral health field for 15 years. My passion for behavioral health goes back as far as I can recall, and helping people achieve their goals and genuine happiness is my life's work. I applaud anyone who has taken this major step to address anything that they may be struggling with, at any stage. You are worth it and I am here to help!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session will include getting to know each other and establishing treatment goals. I believe that trust and collaboration within the therapeutic relationship sets the tone of all following sessions. Once we have outlined some goals for the course of our sessions we will discuss any concerns within the initial paperwork completed. This discussion generally ties closely to goals and the reasons someone comes to therapy. At the end of the session we will set up our next appointment.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe that my greatest strengths include a direct and empathetic approach coupled with a shared wealth of life experiences. I am very passionate about issues near to me and I help my clients find their voice and take away positive skills in difficult situations. Areas of particular strength and expertise include: anxiety disorders, borderline personality disorder, grief, infertility and postpartum needs.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Therapy is tough! Motivation is crucial, with the understanding that ambivalence is part of the therapy process. I am suited to help people with a willingness to learn, process, make changes, understand root issues and give themselves the grace and space to heal.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is a powerful and effective way to identify and change problems with patterned thinking. I have used this modality extensively throughout my 15 year career and I have seen many positive changes with anxiety, depression, relationships, self awareness/esteem and many others.

Eclectic

I believe that an eclectic approach allows clients to benefit from the strengths of many therapy approaches, based on the current needs that they are experiencing. Often, when we begin our therapy journey we find that the road is tangled and turns rapidly. Therefore, I have adopted the eclectic approach throughout my career to ensure that whatever my clients came to session with, I would be able to best meet their needs and achieve their therapeutic goals.

Daialectical Behavior (DBT)

I have extensive training in DBT provided to me through the Lineham Institute, the pioneers of this modality. I am extremely passionate about the skills training associated with DBT and I have assisted dozens of clients through extremely difficult situations and behaviors with DBT therapy.
