Hello, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW in California and have been practicing with individuals that have anxiety, depression, trauma history and going through difficult life transitions. Making the decision to seek out counseling is a big decision when one is going through a difficult time. I use CBT, DBT, and am solution focused. I have a background of working with children, families, and individuals. I find that it is important to base progress on the individual and the mindset that they are able to bring in to session. Progress is different for everyone and it is imperative as a clinician to understand where the individual is at with their progress.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session we will have brief introductions, giving space to address the presenting concerns. I will go over what to expect from therapy and work with the individual to identify goals that a person would liked to achieve.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I provide a comfortable space for individuals to feel safe and open to explore and process their given situation. I strive to be a provider that allows for individuals to share who they are, to understand and address their needs.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work with individuals that have a trauma history, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I work well with teens to adulthood.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have used CBT to work with those that have anxiety, depression, life transitions, and a trauma history. Applying this technique allows the client to understand how their thoughts, behaviors, and feelings are connected and can influence patterns. We will identify on these recognized patterns and work towards changing them to decrease any symptoms that are presented..
