Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in California. I received my Masters from the University of Louisville and have been in the field for 7 years. I have a variety of experiences ranging from school aged children to aging and terminally ill adults and their families. I have worked in a school setting for 4 years and have worked in the hospice field for 7 years. I help children and adults resolve issues and improve overall wellness. I help older adults address the changes and challenges of aging and to find a purpose at each stage of life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then focus on the challenges you wish to address. This will allow us to identify clear goals to work on and evaluate progress each session.

I am a compassionate and empathic provider. I am eager to help you navigate your challenges, big and small with patience and care. I help you to set goals and achieve them in a comfortable but productive environment.

I love working with children to help them navigate school/learning issues, coping skills and relationships. I also enjoy working with adults to help them identify their strengths and utilize them to promote positive outcomes in their lives. My clients are often anxious to take the step to improve their lives but need some guidance to do so.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have utilized CBT for people of all ages to help them to become more aware of how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are all connected and how to develop coping strategies. CBT can help you to identify negative thoughts, understand how they are affecting you and develop positive coping strategies to address. CBT is powerful and can make a great impact on well-being!

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I have utilized Mindfulness to help clients find peace by connecting their bodies and brains. Body scans, mindful breathing exercises, guided meditation and yoga/movement are some of my favorites!

Narrative

I have found success using narrative therapy with older adults to help them overcome challenges of aging and finding purpose in this time of life. Narrative therapy is also helpful for young children and people who are looking to explore their problems, seek solutions and improve self worth.
