I am a licensed psychologist based in Arizona with over 15 years of experience in the field of mental health. I earned my Doctorate in Psychology from Pepperdine University in Los Angeles and my Master's in Clinical Psychology from California State University, Northridge. Throughout my career, I primarily worked in community mental health settings, where I have had the privilege of supporting individuals in navigating life's challenges. I am deeply passionate about helping clients uncover their true potential, leveraging their unique strengths, and fostering personal growth to live fulfilling, meaningful lives.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will take the time to get to know one another and ensure that we are a good fit for working together. Given the personal and vulnerable nature of therapy, it is essential that you feel comfortable and supported in our relationship. During this initial session, we will also discuss what brought you to therapy, as well as any concerns or questions you may have about the therapeutic process. My goal is to create a safe, open space where you feel empowered to explore and address your needs.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am dedicated to creating an experience that is both effective and meaningful. With many years of experience addressing a wide range of challenges, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my practice. While I am confident in utilizing a variety of evidence-based interventions and tools, I remain committed to ongoing professional growth to ensure my approach aligns psychological ethical standards and the latest advancements in treatment practices. I approach each therapeutic relationship with an open mind, free from preconceived notions about the course of treatment. My priority is to build a strong, collaborative relationship with each client by understanding their unique life context, current support systems, and individual needs. This personalized approach allows me to tailor the therapeutic process to best support each client on their path toward healing and self-discovery.

My treatment methods

Integrative

Each person is unique, and every situation is nuanced. For this reason, it is essential that treatment is tailored to the individual experiences and needs of each person. An integrative approach allows for the flexibility to address and resolve therapeutic goals in a way that is both meaningful and effective for each individual.

Attachment-based

Human beings are biologically and physiologically wired for connection. Sometimes there can be issues within connections made and/or difficulty creating or maintaining the relationships we want. Interventions rooted in attachment theory are helpful in increasing ability to make and engage in healthy relationships.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

When patterns of thinking are identified as the source of unwanted symptoms and behavior, Cognitive Behavioral therapy provides effective concrete interventions to promote change.

Psychodynamic

At times, it is important to explore early life experiences to bring what is unconscious to light. This is especially useful when individuals find themselves repeating patterns unintentionally.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I strive to maintain a non-judgmental, curious, and empathic stance when engaging in therapy with individuals. This has allowed clients I previously worked with to let go of self-imposed obstacles and engage in a life rooted in authenticity, integrity, and greater self-efficacy.
