Hello, I'm Anita, and I'm here to help you navigate the path to a healthier and more fulfilling life. I earned my Master's Degree in Social Work from San Diego State University and have experience working with individuals facing serious mental health and addiction issues. I understand that finding stability and peace can sometimes feel overwhelming, but together, we can explore the best ways to improve your mental health and addiction through therapy sessions that are centered on you and your unique needs. If you are ready to live a healthier life, I am available to meet with you. You can schedule your appointment by video or in-person sessions if you reside in the Columbus area of Ohio. My office is in Dublin, Ohio.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Clients will feel safe, experience empathy and be heard in a non-judgmental environment.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe that everyone has strengths. I help individuals acknowledge/identify their strengths and values to empower themselves and take control of their recovery. My approach is practical but positive, empathetic and non-judgmental.

My treatment methods

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I use mindfulness skills to help clients manage their anxiety and depression. Clients learn/practice in session to monitor their attention, emotions and behaviors in a grounded and nonjudgmental way which can help them from "spiraling out of control."

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use DBT to help clients regulate their emotions by learning to process their emotions, feel comfortable addressing both wanted and unwanted emotions and learning what to do with an emotion.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients understand their thought processes, challenge their thoughts, identify problematic patterns and generate alternative thoughts. I also use a similar therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, to treat PTSD.
