Welcome! I'm glad you're here, and I hope we have the opportunity to work together. My name is Brandon Rogers, M.Ed., LPC, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and the treatment of anxiety disorders. I bring over 23 years of experience in public education as a teacher, coach, and school counselor, along with 4 years of clinical counseling experience working with individuals and families ranging in age from 5 to 75. Life presents challenges, transitions, and unexpected obstacles for all of us. While every person's experience is unique, no one has to navigate difficult seasons alone. My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you can explore your concerns, identify strengths, and develop practical strategies for moving forward. My counseling approach is client-centered and solution-focused. By understanding how past experiences influence the present, we can focus on the challenges you are facing today while building the skills and confidence needed for the future. Together, we will create meaningful goals, develop effective coping strategies, and work toward lasting positive change. I look forward to supporting you on your journey toward healing, growth, and greater well-being.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session will focus on getting to know you and understanding what has brought you to counseling. We will gather information about your personal history, experiences, strengths, and current concerns to gain a clearer picture of your unique situation. By exploring the past, we can better understand how it may be influencing your present circumstances. Once we have established this foundation, we will begin identifying the challenges you are currently facing and work together to develop practical solutions and meaningful goals. Counseling is a collaborative process, and I view our work as a partnership focused on helping you move forward. My goal is to help you create the next chapter of your life by improving your overall well-being, building effective coping skills, and increasing your confidence in navigating life's challenges. To support continued growth, I may encourage you to complete activities, reflections, or skill-building exercises between sessions. I invite you to come to each session prepared to discuss your thoughts, successes, and challenges as we work together toward lasting positive change.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My counseling sessions are designed to be collaborative, supportive, and focused on meaningful progress. During our work together, I utilize active listening, empathy, reflection, problem-solving strategies, goal setting, and practical exercises to help you continue your growth between sessions. I have successfully worked with clients ages 12 and older through secure virtual counseling, allowing you to receive support from the comfort and convenience of your home, office, or other private location. Every person has a unique story, and every challenge presents an opportunity for growth. My goal is to help you gain insight, develop effective coping skills, and create positive changes that lead to a healthier, more fulfilling future. Let me help you take the next step toward becoming the best version of yourself.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with clients who are ready to invest in the journey of improving their mental health and overall well-being. The greatest progress comes from clients who are open to learning, willing to share their thoughts and feelings honestly, and committed to practicing new skills between sessions. My approach is straightforward, empathetic, solution-focused, and goal-oriented. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where we can work together to identify challenges, build practical coping strategies, and create meaningful, lasting change. I use evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), tailoring treatment to each client's unique needs and goals. You don't have to navigate life's challenges alone. Together, we'll take it one step—and one day—at a time.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have used this to help people identify and challenge negative or inaccurate thoughts, and learn practical strategies to cope with difficult situations. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a structured, goal-oriented type of talk therapy. It can help manage mental health conditions and emotional concerns.

EMDR

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a structured therapy that helps the brain reprocess traumatic memories so they are less distressing. It uses bilateral stimulation—like side-to-side eye movements or tapping—while you focus on a negative memory to resolve emotional distress and build positive beliefs.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT is a highly structured, evidence-based psychotherapy originally developed in the 1970s by psychologist Marsha Linehan to treat intense emotional dysregulation and a wide variety of mental health conditions. Focuses on four core skills: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.

We have similar backgrounds, which I think will help me to be more willing to be honest about whatever it is that I may be going through.
