Hi! I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). I received my Master's from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and have been practicing for 6 years. I’m a somatic therapist specializing in trauma, anxiety, life transitions, and relationship challenges. Through mindfulness-based approaches and Brainspotting, I help clients reconnect with their bodies, process unresolved experiences, and create lasting emotional shifts.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, I’ll take time to get to know you—exploring your family, social, and biocultural background—to better understand your story. We’ll also discuss what brings you to therapy and begin identifying the goals we’ll work toward together over the next 12–14 weeks.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

One of my greatest strengths as a provider is offering unconditional positive regard and deep empathy—I truly listen and meet my clients where they are. When appropriate, I also gently challenge and ask thoughtful questions to help explore the underlying reasons behind behaviors, always with the goal of fostering insight and growth.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I’m best positioned to serve clients navigating identity crises, life transitions, relational challenges, or anxiety—ranging from teens to adults in their 30s. These clients are often seeking deeper self-understanding, emotional clarity, and tools to feel more grounded and connected in their everyday lives.

My treatment methods

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

In therapy, mindfulness techniques help clients become aware of their thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations without judgment, fostering emotional regulation and present-moment awareness. We will incorporate mindfulness by guiding short practices like breath awareness or body scans, encouraging you to notice and accept your experiences, and assigning simple mindfulness exercises for daily practice.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts, develop more balanced thinking, and change behavior patterns. In sessions, I guide clients through techniques like cognitive restructuring, thought records, and behavioral experiments to build insight and promote lasting change. CBT provides a structured, collaborative framework that empowers clients to actively work toward their goals.

Somatic

I use somatic therapy to help clients connect with and regulate their bodily sensations as a way to process emotions and trauma stored in the body. In sessions, I guide clients through grounding exercises, breathwork, and mindful body awareness to build safety and increase their capacity to stay present. This approach supports healing by integrating the mind and body and fostering a deeper sense of self-awareness.

Brainspotting

Brainspotting is used to help clients access and process deep emotional and somatic experiences by identifying eye positions that correlate with stored trauma or unresolved issues. During sessions, I guide clients to focus on a specific spot in their visual field while noticing body sensations and emotions, allowing the brain and body to process naturally. This method taps into the brain’s innate healing capacity and often leads to profound insight and relief.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) help clients identify their strengths, resources, and goals, focusing on solutions rather than problems. In sessions, I ask goal-oriented questions like “What’s working?” and “What would be different if this problem were solved?” to help clients envision and take steps toward their preferred future. This approach is practical, collaborative, and empowering, often leading to meaningful change in a short time.
