I am a compassionate and experienced therapist dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges and heal from trauma. Using a blend of evidence-based approaches, including TF-CBT, ART, and family therapy, I provide a safe, supportive space for clients to explore their experiences, build resilience, and foster healthier relationships. My goal is to empower clients to find their strengths and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session, clients can expect a welcoming and open environment where we will begin with a comprehensive biosocial assessment. This involves exploring various aspects of your life, including your personal history, current concerns, and overall well-being. This process helps me gain a thorough understanding of your needs and allows us to collaboratively set clear and tailored treatment goals for our work together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength as a provider is my ability to quickly identify unhealthy cycles in both thought patterns and relationship dynamics. This insight allows me to help clients recognize and understand these patterns, empowering them to make meaningful changes that lead to healthier behaviors and interactions. I combine this skill with a compassionate, client-centered approach to support lasting growth and healing.

My treatment methods

Trauma-Focused CBT

I am a certified TF-CBT therapist, specializing in working with minors who have experienced trauma. While I primarily use this model with my younger clients, I also incorporate elements of TF-CBT into all of my trauma-focused work, regardless of age. This approach allows me to create a safe, structured environment for clients to explore their experiences and develop the skills they need to heal and move forward.

Couples Counseling

I have been working with couples for over 10 years, helping them navigate a wide range of relationship challenges. In my practice, I focus on improving communication, fostering emotional connection, and addressing underlying issues that may be impacting the relationship. I use a collaborative approach, tailoring my techniques to each couple's unique dynamics and goals. Whether couples are seeking to rebuild trust, enhance intimacy, or work through conflicts, I provide a safe, supportive environment where both partners can feel heard and work together toward a healthier relationship.

Family Therapy

I have worked with families for 6 years, helping them navigate challenges and improve their relationships. In my practice, I use a systems-based approach to understand the dynamics within the family unit and how they impact each member. By addressing communication patterns, exploring family roles, and identifying strengths, I work with families to create healthier interactions and resolve conflicts. My goal is to provide a supportive space where each family member feels heard, fostering an environment that encourages growth, understanding, and lasting change.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

have been trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and have been using this modality in my practice for the past 2 years. In my work, I guide clients in identifying and connecting with these internal parts to foster self-compassion, resolve inner conflicts, and achieve a greater sense of harmony. This method is particularly helpful in addressing trauma, anxiety, and relationship issues, allowing clients to better understand their inner experiences and work toward lasting change.

Trauma Informed Care

I am a certified Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) provider, utilizing this powerful, evidence-based treatment to help clients address trauma, anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns. ART is a brief, yet effective, therapy that uses eye movements and imagery to reprocess distressing memories and reduce their emotional impact. In my practice, I guide clients through this process in a safe and controlled environment, allowing them to resolve painful experiences and gain relief from symptoms often in just a few sessions. This approach empowers clients to achieve lasting change without the need for detailed discussion of the traumatic events.
