My treatment methods

Brainspotting

Brainspotting (BSP) is a therapeutic approach that helps clients process trauma, emotional distress, and subconscious blockages by accessing deeper parts of the brain. It is based on the idea that where you look affects how you feel. By identifying “brainspots” (eye positions linked to stored trauma or emotional experiences), the brain can process and release unresolved issues. I primarily use BSP with clients who have experienced trauma, including those dealing with PTSD, anxiety, and related concerns. Over time, I have witnessed significant progress in clients’ ability to manage their past experiences and reduce the emotional distress tied to them, making it a powerful tool in their healing journey.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have extensive experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support clients in identifying and altering unhealthy thought patterns and behaviors. In my practice, I regularly apply CBT techniques to help clients recognize negative thinking, challenge these thoughts, and replace them with more balanced, realistic alternatives. Additionally, CBT focuses on changing unproductive behaviors by setting clear goals and employing strategies to modify behaviors over time. I have found this approach to be particularly effective in assisting clients with managing anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges.

Motivational Interviewing

I have integrated Motivational Interviewing into my practice as a valuable tool for helping clients explore and resolve ambivalence toward behavior change. This approach is especially effective when working with individuals who may feel resistant or uncertain about making changes in their lives. Motivational Interviewing allows me to engage clients in a collaborative, empathetic way, helping them uncover their motivations for change and address any conflicting emotions. Through techniques such as reflective listening, open-ended questions, and affirmations, I create a supportive, non-judgmental environment where clients can explore and clarify their goals. This method has consistently proven to be an effective way to empower clients to make meaningful, lasting changes in their lives.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

In my practice, I provide unconditional positive regard, empathy, and authenticity to create a safe and supportive space for self-exploration and growth. By fostering a strong therapeutic alliance, I help clients feel truly seen, heard, and accepted, which promotes deeper self-awareness and personal transformation.
