Generally, an initial visit entails understanding why you are seeking care- what it is you want to accomplish, how you think I can help you get there, what you do not want and prior relevant experiences with the healthcare system. As such, an initial visit is longer, more involved, and more costly than follow up visits
- By virtue of my training and post-training career, I have worked with a diverse range of patients (low-income, high-income, intellectually disabled, incarcerated, high-functioning, and more) in different settings (academic center, private practice, telehealth) - I speak multiple languages and provide healthcare from an intersectional perspective: person-of-color, immigrant, woman. I am fluent in Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi - Understanding the outrageous cost and many barriers to access healthcare in the United States, I am able to offer an income-dependent fee structure, which is also known as a "sliding scale"
I treat clients belonging to all social strata and in many settings, including, inpatient (hospitalized), outpatient (clinic), Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), and forensic (correctional facilities)
