Hi there! Welcome to your therapeutic journey! I'm truly honored to be joining you on your path towards healing and growth. I am here to support you by using a wide range of treatment modalities to meet you where you are and assist you in navigating life’s challenges- you are not alone! I hold a master degree in clinical social work, and I have over 10 years of experience working with clients facing a variety of challenges. My approach to therapy is person-centered, evidence-based, holistic, strengths-based, culturally-sensitive, and goal-oriented. I am committed to creating a safe and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings and walk-away feeling supported and empowered.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our initial session, I will have the opportunity to gather essential information to better understand your presenting concerns, history, and treatment needs. During this time together, I will also be learning about your current challenges and goals for therapy. The information gathered in this session will be used to develop a treatment plan that is specifically tailored to meet your goals for therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a mental health provider, my greatest strengths lie in my ability to cultivate a supportive therapeutic relationship, apply clinical expertise with empathy and cultural competence, and maintain ethical integrity and personal well-being. I take pride in my abilities to actively listen without judgement and being a thought partner who works collaboratively with my clients. I am flexible, resilient, and committed to continued learning.

My treatment methods

Christian Counseling

If you are looking for an environment where you feel understood and accepted within the context of your Christian beliefs, this counseling approach is for you and I am excited about assisting you along your journey of hope and healing. For many clients, their faith serves as a source of strength, resilience, and hope during challenging times. Incorporating spiritual practices such as prayer, meditation, or scripture reading can offer coping mechanisms and foster a sense of connection with something greater than themselves. You may decide that you want to incorporate all of these practices into your counseling session or you may only prefer that your therapist be a believer. In either scenario, I am prepared to meet you where you are and assist you in integrating Christian faith into the therapeutic process.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is a goal-oriented, strengths-based approach to therapy that focuses on identifying and amplifying your existing resources and abilities to create positive change in your life. SFBT is both collaborative and client-centered and offers a practical and empowering approach to therapy that emphasizes your strengths, resources, and ability to enact positive change in your life. By focusing on solutions rather than problems and leveraging your own expertise, SFBT can help you achieve your goals in a relatively short amount of time. I have over 7 years of experience in SFBT and I have helped individuals overcome anxiety, depression, navigate relationship challenges, self-esteem issues, and workplace concerns through utilizing SFBT.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a widely used therapeutic approach that focuses on the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It aims to help individuals identify and challenge negative or unhelpful thought patterns and develop healthier ways of thinking and coping. Through structured sessions and homework assignments, you will learn practical skills to manage your emotions and behaviors, leading to lasting change and improved mental well-being.
