I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 10+ years of experience providing support & counseling for children, adolescents, adults, and families that are having a challenging time with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, self-esteem, relationships, and just everyday stress that we all have at times! You are already making steps to improve yourself just by reading this and that aligns with the strengths-based approach I utilize when working with clients! I primarily utilize a person-centered and strengths-based approach when working with clients. I work to incorporate techniques based in cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused therapies. I am also trained in motivational interviewing and dialectical-behavioral techniques. I work with clients to develop their âtool belt!â We all wear our invisible tool-belt every day, and we use our tools to help with lifeâs problems. I work with clients to develop various tools they can add to their belt including breathing techniques, reframing, mindfulness components, thought-challenging techniques, positive imagery, and grounding.
One of my biggest strengths is my ability to connect with and truly and genuinely, understand my clients and what is important to them. Positive changes and outcomes stem-from that strong connection and relationship. Whether it is working with children and families to improve communication skills and behaviors, or adults working through anxiety, depression, trauma, grief or adjustment for lifeâs challenges, I will partner with you to achieve your goals!
