My name is Vester L Bradshaw Jr and I am a Marriage and Family Therapist. As a therapist, I operate under the promise that I am not an expert in anyone’s life, which allows me to walk along side of clients to assist them with making changes and achieving goals. Also, my treatment philosophies are “Hope empowers individuals to make effective and needed changes in their lives” and “We are not defined by our past, but how we invest in today, lays the foundation for our future.”
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Client can expect entering a safe and non-judgmental environment where I will collaborate with you to meet goals and objectives. Client will complete an intake and discuss expectations for treatment.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I am a great listening, relatable, compassionate, understanding and open of others, calm, use humor to break the ice, and have a realization that I am not an expert in my client's lives.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I see couple and individuals from ages 13 and up. I especially like to work with youth between the age of 15 and 25 to assist with creating life goals and meaningful living.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I use the four components of DBT such as mindfulness, DIstress Tolerance, Interpersonal Effectiveness, and Emotion Regulation.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
We explored strengths by using coping questions, scaling questions, exception questions, and the miracle question.
Grief Therapy
Explore emotions and reaction to grief and discuss ways they could manage daily function and possible guilt.

He's really considerate, genuinely cares, doesn't take sides and is consistently supportive of both of us. He's good at keeping the bigger picture in mind while addressing the minutia that lead to our larger problems. 100 % recommend and would love to talk to him again.

Not only do i feel understood by Mr.Bradshaw, i feel as i am being guided gently by a friend with his ability to give me psychological advice with a story of his own experience. I have troubles with telling myself i bother people and his approach really alleviates that mental stuggle of mine, while i also am given coping mechanisms and positive and or realistic outlooks.
