You did it! You stepped over that barrier. Welcome. I am Dr. Cayla Guadalupe, and I am so happy you are here. Engaging in therapy is a journey, and it takes courage to take that leap forward, and I am honored to be able to go on that journey with you. I am a licensed clinical social worker, with a decade of participation with adults, couples and adolescents. Through my professional and lived experiences, I am here to assist you in addressing symptoms associated with depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, and other distressing life occurrences. I specialize in addressing disruptive sexual behaviors in a compassionate and person-centered way and can assist in providing forensic reporting and meeting court obligated treatment requirements as well. I am a sex-positive, open-minded therapist and an ally to the LGBTQ+ community. As you experience normal reactions to abnormal events, we can work together to build resilience and re-establish stable ground.
For a first session, let's make sure we are a good fit. Tell me about your goals for therapy, and your expectations of me, and let's see if we can make this a proactive relationship for you.
My greatest strength is being open and non-judgmental. My only job is to listen, you determine where we go from there.
