I received a dual bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University in kinesiology and psychology where I studied the impact of physical activity on mental well-being. I received a M.A. from the University of Detroit Mercy, and a Ph.D. from Fielding Graduate University. I hold a graduate certificate in Neuropsychology, also from Fielding Graduate University. I have over 10 years of experience in the field and have worked in various settings including community mental health, inpatient, forensic, university medical centers, and private practice. I am passionate about lifelong learning and stay informed on current literature in clinical psychology and treatment approaches. I integrate evidence-based cognitive and behavioral therapies with mindfulness practices to help clients achieve their personal and professional goals. I provide a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to work through problems and heal. I treat adults with issues related to depression, anxiety, stress, burnout, relationship challenges, life transitions, and work/life balance. I'm passionate about helping my clients achieve the mind-body wellness and balance that makes life a joy. Away from the office, I love traveling, nature and botanical gardens, music, spinning, and exploring healthy food options.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During your very first session (Intake), you will have an opportunity to ask any questions you have about therapy. We will then spend some time reviewing the consent information. However, the majority of time is spent reviewing your personal history, this issues you are seeking treatment for, and identifying treatment goals. Clients end that session feeling encouraged and prepared to start the work of therapy. Beyond that, clients can expect to leave each therapy session feeling their issues were heard and validated. Clients can also expect to leave with at least one tool or strategy they can use throughout the week to start making progress toward their goals. It's easy to get started and you won't be pressured to talk about anything that feels too uncomfortable for you.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe a healthy person makes a good provider. Self-care is at the center of everything that I do, and as your treating psychologist I will help you make your own self care a priority. I make sure to complete mini-checkups for both mind and body throughout the day. I make sure I feel grounded, centered, and nourished. I continue to volunteer in my community and serve others. It’s a very powerful experience to be able to give freely of myself to help others without the worry of performance goals or anticipation of reward. I’m passionate about educating and uplifting the youth in my community. In my free time, I love traveling internationally to learn about different cultures and sample different foods. I enjoy strolling through nature and botanical gardens, attending live music and sporting events, spinning, playing piano, and exploring healthy food options. A spa day in Napa Valley is always a welcome retreat!

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Are you an ambitious top performer, or high achiever, but still struggling with low mood or constant anxiety? Having a hard time hacking life beyond the office and wish you had a more fulfilling life or better relationships? Does negative events from your past seem to keep you feeling down or hopeless? I’m here to help guide you to better understand the things or situations holding you back from the life you deserve. I support and empower high functioning individuals struggling with lifelong, fluctuating, or new symptoms of depression and anxiety. Sometimes these symptoms emerge during life transitions, stressful situations at work, or hectic home life. Perhaps they impact your self-esteem, cause you to doubt your abilities or self-worth, sabotage your relationships, impair your judgment, and keep you feeling stuck in a place that does not bring happiness.
