Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia. I received my Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2019. My previous work encompassed governement contracting for 16 years. After several life events, I made the choice to pursue my masters and become a counselor, to help others. I have 5 years of experience working with and providing treatment for trauma, anxiety, OCD, school issues, depression, relationships, career counseling.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, I will be asking lots of questions for information gathering. I want to get to know you better and your difficulties. We will then discuss goals and treatment modalities.

My greatest strengths as a provider are integrity, honesty, directness, and empathy. I provide a safe environment for clients. I have personal and professional experience with PTSD, anxiety, career change, and grief.

I love working with young adults and adult females in the area of trauma and anxiety. I also like working with teens struggling with relationships and school.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use this treatment method to help challenge thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

I use this treatment method as a means to gradually expose client to fear and anxiety. This is also used as a means to decrease obsessive behavior.

EMDR

EMDR is used to process thoughts, emotions, and sensations for trauma. It can be used for other issues as well. I only accept private pay for EMDR.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

This is used as a means for the client express his or her challenges to work on.
