I was drawn to psychiatry during my clinical rotation in nursing school as I’ve always believed in the “mind/body connection.” I understand that the brain plays a crucial role in our physical health so it is only natural that emotional unrest can lead to physical consequences. Therefore, optimal health is derived from both a strong body and mind. I am passionate about what I do as a PMHNP as I believe it’s a privilege to treat a person during one of the most vulnerable moments of their life. It would be an honor to work with you through this difficult time in order to find long-term solutions.
I create an environment that fosters trust and respect. I want to learn more about you, your expectations as well as your past experiences in psychiatry so I understand your perspective. Starting from our first session, I want you to feel seen and heard. To do so, we will talk about your level of comfort sharing personal information and we will create a treatment plan that you are in agreement with.
I have helped countless clients overcome trauma symptoms to live a fuller life. My practice provides a compassionate, trauma-informed environment where clients feel safe and understood. My greatest strengths include a deep knowledge of trauma-related disorders, expertise in evidence-based treatments like trauma-focused CBT and EMDR, and the ability to build trust with clients through empathy and active listening. I'm skilled at helping individuals process complex emotions, manage triggers, and develop healthy coping strategies. My holistic approach focuses on healing the mind, body, and spirit, empowering clients to regain control and achieve lasting recovery.
My true passion is working with individuals who've experienced trauma and any related trauma disorders. I love working with clients of all ages including adults, children and adolescents. My clients are eager to improve, but don't yet have the tools needed to make this goal a reality. They have often lost hope in the field of psychiatry but my goal is to change their perspective by providing them with the best possible care.
I create a non-judgmental and respectful space that focuses on your autonomy. I help you find the motivation that comes from within yourself, so that you feel empowered and ready to take steps toward the changes you want to make.
I help you develop kindness and understanding toward yourself, especially when you're feeling anxious, depressed, or struggling, so you can heal and improve your well-being.
I use CBT to help clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns, develop coping strategies, and improve emotional regulation.
I will provide you with information and knowledge to better understand your mental health, symptoms, and treatment options, so you can make informed decisions and feel more in control of your well-being.
