Born and raised in Italy, I received my bachelor’s in clinical psychology from the University of Rome, La Sapienza, and an MA in marriage and family therapy from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles. My experience includes working in school settings, with the Department of Family Services in mental health assessment and case management, and in community mental health with minorities, providing individual, group, family, and couples therapy in English and Spanish. I am trained in EMDR, accelerated resolution therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, Brainspotting, Seeking Safety, and trauma-focused CBT. level 2 trained in Gottman method. I work collaboratively with clients to make sure all their needs are met while considering their cultural diversity and intergenerational/systemic trauma using a trauma-informed and attachment approach. I am a firm believer in the use of therapy as an instrument of change for the individual and society as a whole.
In our first session I will assess your needs, after introducing myself, Check in with you on how are you doing. Created collaborative plans and work using evidenced based approaches.
I use Cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR/ ART for trauma and some attachment work along with Dialectical behavioral therapy for individuals, I use Gottman method for couple , Brainspotting.
I have been working a lot in undeserved community providing trauma work in English and Spanish. I see things from a cultural and trauma informed lens.
My clients are eager to improve, but don't have the tolls to do so., with history of trauma or feeling stuck.
