Welcome to my professional profile. I'm Dawn, a seasoned Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 23 years of experience, complemented by 21 years as a Certified School Social Worker in an alternative high school setting. My extensive background spans working with adolescents, young adults, families, and individuals across various age groups, addressing a spectrum of mental health concerns, including anxiety, grief and loss, school issues, trauma and PTSD, anger management and self-esteem issues.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our sessions, clients can anticipate a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where they can freely express themselves. We will begin by building rapport and exploring concerns and goals. As therapy progresses, clients can expect to engage in meaningful work, involving reflection, strategizing, and problem-solving to address issues, gain insight, and develop coping strategies.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with adolescents, young adults and their families for over 20 years, I possess valuable expertise in supporting clients to manage and navigate through emotional, social and behavioral difficulties. My experience with grief work is another area in which I have helped clients to successfully move forward in their lives. I adapt my approach based on client preferences, comfort level, and therapeutic goals. My areas of expertise include anxiety, grief and loss, school issues, trauma and PTSD, anger management, and self-esteem concerns. Together, we can navigate through your challenges, empowering you to effectively manage difficulties and move closer to your goals. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you.
