Hey there! I'm Angela and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor based in New Jersey and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor based out of Maine. I graduated from Rutgers University with a Master’s of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling in Clinical Mental Health. I attained my Approved Clinical Supervisor and Certified Clinical Supervisor in 2023. I work with individuals 13 years old and up. I've always worked on building a working and therapeutic alliance with my clients. Rapport building is really valuable to me!
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In our first session, you can expect lots of questions from me! I like to get to know you and collaborate with you on what direction to go in your therapy. The first session can be tough and you're meeting me for the first time. You can know that I will respect whatever direction you feel is best to go in for our sessions.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I’ve worked in many different areas of the field from partial care and hospitalization, homeless services for veterans and the private practice setting. I loved all of these experiences as it taught me a lot about people! From anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive behaviors, relationship and interpersonal issues, trauma; it made me realize how much we can all relate to one another; the common humanity in it all. These are all shared experiences and I want to help people see that and overcome whatever barriers they face.
Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.
I enjoy working with teens and adults in any phase of their life. From family, couples, relationship issues, to even difficulties with decision making. Maybe you’re feeling stuck? We are resilient and unique and go through our own individual journey towards balance. Whether these are new or old stressors, I strive to create a non-judgemental, safe space to collaborate with you. Let’s explore, resolve and/or accept what is. I will work towards helping you gain insight, embrace your self-worth, learn new coping skills, and attain the balance that you are looking for.
