Hi there, I'm Bethany! Are you feeling overwhelmed by the stresses of daily life, struggling to find your place in the world, or simply looking for someone to talk to? Together, you and I can work to build a collaborative relationship and work toward your goals, whatever they may be! I utilize a client-centered approach because I believe you are the expert in your life. In our sessions together, you can expect a safe space to get to the root of your struggles or process past traumas, and you will consistently be met with compassion and validation. I am here for you, and therapy should look like what you want it to look like. I am always going to be an active listener, and we can work together to ensure that you are getting what you need out of therapy!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In sessions with me, you can expect to be consistently met with empathy and understanding. I will provide a safe space for anyone regardless of sexuality, race, gender etc, and I am constantly learning and growing to be the most accepting and culturally competent therapist I can be! You should leave sessions with me feeling validated, heard, and with insight on how to work toward your goals or better manage symptoms.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I utilize a variety of evidence-based treatment methods and tools depending on the unique needs of my clients. I typically view therapy through an Adlerian therapy lens in which I believe that the client is the expert in their lives, all behavior is purposeful, and I employ techniques that promote growth and resilience. I will always provide unconditional positive regard, empathy, and encouragement in sessions. When needed, I do use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques as well.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strength in therapy is building relationships with individuals. I want you to feel comfortable talking to me and feel valued as a human. You are valuable just because you live and breathe! I have been working as a therapist for over 7 years, and while I am more than happy to work with anyone from any background, I feel my strength lies in working with individuals in the LGBTQ+ or neurodivergent communities. Regardless of your background, I'd love to get to know you and see if we would be a good fit!
