Hey you, I'm Shania. Are you feeling like life has been LIFE-ING and you've reached your emotional limits? Do you find yourself giving so much to others with little left for you? Does it feel like a dark cloud is hovering over you or you're constantly waiting on the ball to drop? If any of this resonates with you, then you're probably ready for a change. I support people who are ready and willing to do the work it takes to become the favorite versions of themselves. If you don't know what that version looks like, that's okay because I'm here to help you explore. My approach to therapy incorporates mindfulness, positivity, and creative outlets to address you as a whole being. Be proud of yourself for taking this important step in seeking help because on the other side of pain is healing and you can get there. You deserve a safe space to be who you are while you work on you. I'm ready when you are!
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
After our initial session, we'll establish a treatment plan with goals that you want for yourself. The time between each session gives you the practice to work towards your goals using techniques and/or coping skills we discussed in the session. This is a time to be intentional with your actions and self-reflection. We'll gauge how you feel about your progress and make adjustments as needed.
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
I use a combination of treatment methods including but not limited to cognitive behavior therapy, mindfulness, and positive psychology. Some of the tools I encourage are the use of the outward expression of emotions in the form of gratitude journaling, positive affirmations and stress relief activities etc.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
My biggest strength is meeting clients where they are and supporting them at each stage of change with managing stress, creating and implementing boundaries, and processing heavy emotions.
