As a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas, I specialize in working with adolescents and adults, fostering emotional strength, perseverance, and self-understanding in a nurturing and safe environment. My seasons as a classroom teacher integrated with my role as a therapist offers me a fresh approach in working with clients and their families. Whether it is navigating the complexities of adolescence, managing high-risk behaviors or piloting through life, my focus is tailoring sessions and collaborating on therapeutic plans that can be seamlessly integrated into clients' daily lives, ensuring lasting growth and well-being.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with adults and adolescents to build emotional intelligence. My clients are eager to improve, but don't yet have the tools needed to make this goal a reality. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed and anxious in their lives. Life brings feelings and emotions and navigating that in a safe space where you feel supported, understood and heard can be freedom.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a common type of talk therapy (psychotherapy), we work together to identify specific challenges in thought processes and behavioral processes.

Child Parent Psychotherapy

CPP is a more intensive therapy that aims to support family strengths and relationships. Our aim , together, is to help your family heal and grow, especially after stressful experiences. Taking into account respect of your family unit and cultural values.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Through Dialectical Behavior Therapy we work together to design skills for managing intense emotions and negotiating social relationships.

EMDR

The focus on EMDR is to alleviate the distress, physical and mental, associated with traumatic memories. Our goal is to enable a reprocessing of memories; unblocking a wound so to speak, so that healing can resume.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

Within utilizing this therapeutic technique, together, we seek the root of emotions and identify them, look at patterns of distress.
